UiPath Test Cloud Alternatives in 2026: 7 Options for Enterprise QA Teams

Written by the RabbitQA Marketing Team. We build one of the products on this list.
The short answer
The right UiPath Test Cloud alternative depends on why you are leaving. If you still need deep SAP, Oracle and packaged-application testing without the wider UiPath platform, look at Tricentis or ACCELQ. If you want published pricing and a broad toolset for practitioners, look at Katalon. If you want to keep code-based suites and run them on a large real-device cloud, look at BrowserStack. If the real problem is that quality starts too late, stops at the release gate and depends on which deployment you run, look at RabbitQA, which runs one customer journey across web, mobile and API, and governs quality from the requirement through continuous health checks on top of the automation you already have.
Why teams look for UiPath Test Cloud alternatives
UiPath Test Cloud is a serious testing product. It covers web, mobile, desktop, API, mainframe and more than 190 enterprise applications, its SAP coverage is deep, its AI Trust Layer adds auditing, spend controls, PII masking and bring-your-own-model support, and its 60-day trial is self-service. Since October 2026, the AI Trust Layer also accepts your own guardrail subscriptions in preview, and new policies keep prompt inputs and LLM outputs out of the audit logs until you enable saving them. Teams rarely leave because Test Cloud cannot test an application.
They look around for other reasons:
Value tied to the wider UiPath estate. In our view, Test Cloud is at its best when testing and automation share the same foundation: Maestro orchestration, Agent Builder, robots and existing UiPath automations. Teams that do not run UiPath for automation take on a broad platform, licensing model and skill set to get its testing capabilities.
Consumption that is hard to forecast. UiPath’s Test Cloud quickstart says “Online purchase is available for non-enterprise licensing plans only. Enterprise plans and license types that are not available on the purchase page require assistance from UiPath Sales.” Usage is measured in Platform Units, Test Execution Units and, since August 2026, a monthly AI and Agentic usage pool per user license, and UiPath’s documentation says “Users only ever see percentages, never units or amounts.” Where UiPath’s licensing policy includes yearly allowances of 5,000 test heals and 50,000 ScreenPlay runs, usage beyond them consumes Platform Units.
AI that depends on where you deploy. UiPath’s Test Manager feature availability page marks several of its newest AI features, among them MCP servers, Autonomous Exploration, Autonomous Test Execution, the Healing Agent for test execution and Playwright automation, as available in public Test Cloud but not in Test Cloud Dedicated or Public Sector. In self-hosted Private Test Cloud, Autopilot for testers supports only bring-your-own-subscription, not bring-your-own-model, and it is not available on the RKE2-based embedded Linux installation. In fairness to UiPath, it states that Automation Suite, the platform Private Test Cloud runs on, supports air-gapped deployment and self-hosted open-source models, though its on-premises LLM table marks Test Manager Autopilot as “Not supported” with those models.
Features still rolling out. Autonomous Exploration and Autonomous Test Execution were introduced in preview in July 2026, and UiPath announced their availability for October 2026. Autonomous Exploration covers websites only, runs on Windows only and does not support desktop apps. Playwright automation in Test Manager is in controlled availability for eligible tenants.
What to look for in an alternative
Before you compare products, decide which of these matters most. Your answer narrows the list quickly.
- Application coverage. Do you need packaged ERP and CRM depth (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Workday), or mostly web, mobile and API?
- Platform fit. Do you want testing inside a broader automation platform, or a quality product that stands on its own?
- AI control. Can you bring your own model in every deployment you run, including on premises, and see what the AI changed and who approved it?
- Existing assets. Will you rebuild your suites, or keep frameworks like Selenium, Cucumber or Robot Framework and add on top?
- Commercial model. Is pricing published, metered by units and pools, or fixed per year?
- Lifecycle scope. Do you want faster test creation, or quality governance that also covers requirements and post-release health?

7 UiPath Test Cloud alternatives
1. RabbitQA: for quality governance from requirement to production
What it is. RabbitQA is a multi-agentic AI platform for digital product quality. Specialized agents work in three coordinated groups. Technical Agents run automation across web, mobile and API, generate API test suites, and keep scheduled checks running against your production endpoints after the release, opening an incident when one stops responding. Planning Agents generate context-aware test cases, manage test plans and produce synthetic test data and mock services. Business Agents score incoming requirements for clarity, completeness, acceptance criteria and technical detail, route them to named approvers, and turn them into product backlog items.
What makes it different from UiPath Test Cloud.
- Multimodal Experience journeys. One scenario from web to tablet to Apple Watch, in one run, with web, mobile and API steps in the same journey.
- Real devices with MobileHub. Run manual and Appium-based tests on real iOS and Android devices in one shared pool, or connect your own devices to it. Scan QR codes with the device’s own camera, test shake-triggered flows with the Shake Device control in the browser, and simulate GPS locations on a map or by coordinates, so camera, shake and location flows stay in test scope. Screenshots, videos, logs and PDF reports stay with the session, and bugs link straight to the test plan.
- Self-learning automation. While automation runs, the agent learns the product and builds its own knowledge base. Close a gap by generating test cases, or simply say “cover this”. The agent adds it to the automation and keeps it in every future run.
- Coverage, measured twice. Test coverage: CaseWriter measures your scenarios against your documents. Automation coverage: AutoRunner shows what your automation does not reach yet. Low coverage? Ask for more test cases.
- Requirements governance. Business Agents structure and validate every demand before development starts. Ambiguities and gaps surface at the requirement, where they are cheapest to fix, and become testable backlog items.
- Human-governed by design. AI agents do the quality work. Every critical decision stays with your team.
- Your models and agents in the workflow. RabbitQA integrates your own LLMs and AI agents into governed quality workflows.
- The same licensing in the cloud and on premises. SaaS and on-premises deployments both work with either licensing model, and hybrid deployment is also offered. Connect OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Gemini or Anthropic, or run local models entirely on premises, so no prompt leaves your infrastructure.
- A quality product that stands on its own. You do not need an automation platform underneath it. AutoRunner runs existing projects built on Cucumber, Gauge, Robot Framework, JUnit, TestNG or xUnit, plus Postman collections, as they are.
- Predictable pricing. Every license includes all agents: choose a fixed-capacity package with unlimited users, or bring your own model and pay per user. Capacity is measured in recognizable units of work, not tokens or AI credits.
- Trust. RabbitQA has completed a SOC 2 Type II audit and operates under ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO 9001:2015. Our work with Quick Sigorta, built on RabbitQA, won Best Ethical Risk Management in AI Output at The AI Awards 2026. Our work with Hopi, built on RabbitQA, won Best AI Usage in Retail at The AI Awards 2026.
Good fit for: Enterprises in banking, insurance, aviation, retail and e-commerce that want one place to govern quality from requirement to production, whether they run in the cloud or on premises.

2. Tricentis: for model-based automation across packaged apps
What it is. Tricentis offers Tosca for model-based automation across more than 200 technologies, including SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Workday and ServiceNow, plus qTest for test management, NeoLoad for performance and SeaLights for code-change risk. AI Workspace coordinates Tricentis agents and includes a no-code agent builder, approval gates between workflow steps and audit logs.
Why teams pick it over UiPath. It offers comparable packaged-application depth without an RPA platform underneath, a single Tosca subscription that covers on-premises, cloud or hybrid deployment, and MCP servers for Tosca, qTest, NeoLoad and SeaLights.
Watch-outs. Tricentis’s Tosca pricing page has no prices, only a request form, and Tosca Agentic Test Automation draws on AI credits, one per test interaction. On-premises Tosca can open Agentic Test Automation, but its setup page covers access to Tosca Cloud, outbound network access for AI features and AI credits; a Tricentis blog from July 2026 says “Tosca’s AI is coming to on-premises deployments this fall”. As of October 21, 2026, Tosca Cloud’s import and export page covers .tsu files for other Tosca Cloud workspaces and does not describe exporting tests to code.
Good fit for: ERP- and CRM-heavy enterprises that want packaged-application depth from a testing-first vendor.

3. ACCELQ: for codeless automation across packaged apps
What it is. ACCELQ offers AI-powered no-code test automation and test management covering web, mobile, API, desktop and mainframe, plus a long list of packaged applications, including Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, Workday, ServiceNow, Microsoft Dynamics and Pega. Its Autopilot layer handles discovery, logic building, healing and test data generation.
Why teams pick it over UiPath. Business testers can build automation without code, packaged-app assets come prebuilt through ACCELQ LIVE, and ACCELQ documents public cloud, private cloud and full on-premises deployment, including air-gapped environments.
Watch-outs. Autopilot is a separate subscription for Cloud Pro and Enterprise, and its MCP server requires it. As of October 21, 2026, ACCELQ’s Autopilot security page does not name its LLM providers or describe bringing your own model, and its deployment guide does not say whether the AI features work in private cloud or on premises. Its pricing page lists no prices.
Good fit for: ERP- and CRM-heavy enterprises that want packaged-app coverage with less scripting.

4. Katalon: for one suite with published prices
What it is. Katalon True Platform combines Katalon Studio for authoring, TestOps for test management, TestCloud for execution and TrueTest for production insights, across web, mobile, API and Windows desktop. Its Requirement Analyzer flags missing acceptance criteria, contradictory conditions and untestable requirements.
Why teams pick it over UiPath. Katalon publishes its prices and offers a Free plan, with Enterprise by quote. Teams can route Katalon AI through their own OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Gemini or OpenAI-compatible keys, and existing Selenium, TestNG and JUnit code can run inside a Katalon project.
Watch-outs. On Katalon’s pricing page, private cloud or on-premises deployment and offline or air-gapped activation are Enterprise-only. Katalon Studio’s integration guides include Salesforce, Oracle Cloud applications and Microsoft Dynamics 365, and the Salesforce guide says the integration is not officially supported; we did not find SAP testing among them, so we would not plan on Katalon to replace UiPath’s SAP coverage.
Good fit for: Practitioner teams moving off UiPath whose estate is mostly web, mobile and API.

5. Testsigma: for natural-language test authoring
What it is. Testsigma describes itself as an agentic test automation platform for QA teams, with its AI coworker Atto. It covers web, mobile web, native Android and iOS, metadata-based Salesforce testing, REST APIs and Windows desktop, including SAP GUI, SAP UI5 and Oracle applications.
Why teams pick it over UiPath. Plain-language authoring keeps the low-code experience without an RPA platform, and bring-your-own-key is documented for Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Gemini and Vertex AI.
Watch-outs. Windows desktop and SAP GUI tests run only locally through the Testsigma Agent, with no cloud lab. Automation plans are priced by quote. On-premises deployment is Enterprise-only and still needs an internet connection. The MCP server setup in Testsigma’s documentation is for Arcus, its agent-run test management platform.
Good fit for: QA teams that want natural-language test authoring and their own AI keys.
Read: RabbitQA vs Testsigma.

6. BrowserStack: for running existing suites on a large device cloud
What it is. BrowserStack offers live and automated testing on what it says are 30,000+ real devices, plus Percy for visual testing, accessibility testing, test management, low-code automation and load testing. Its SDK runs existing Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit, Robot Framework and many other framework suites without script changes.
Why teams pick it over UiPath. For cloud devices, UiPath’s Mobile Device Manager documentation points to providers such as Sauce Labs and BrowserStack. Going to BrowserStack directly gives teams real-device scale, published plan prices on its pricing page, and an open-source MCP server that connects it to AI coding tools.
Watch-outs. BrowserStack selects the models behind its AI agents, pointing customers with a mandated model vendor to their account manager, and in test management its AI agents sit in the Team Ultimate tier, which is priced on inquiry. As of October 21, 2026, its product menu lists web and mobile app testing but no desktop or packaged ERP application testing as a dedicated surface, and its Automate self-hosted option runs browser grids in your own AWS, Azure or GCP account without describing its AI agents on premises.
Good fit for: Teams with existing code-based suites that need scale on real devices and browsers.
7. An open source stack: for engineering-led teams
What it is. Playwright or Selenium for UI, Appium for mobile, a framework such as Cucumber or Robot Framework, Postman or REST Assured for APIs, plus a test management tool and CI pipeline. Playwright now bundles the Playwright MCP server.
Why teams pick it over UiPath. No license fees, no consumption units, no proprietary format and complete control.
Watch-outs. You pay in engineering time: building, maintaining and governing the stack is your job, and business testers usually depend on engineers. Packaged-app coverage is hard to build yourself. An open source stack also pairs well with a governance layer: RabbitQA runs Cucumber, Gauge, Robot Framework, JUnit, TestNG and xUnit projects, including the Selenium suites built on them, and Postman collections as they are, so you can start open and add requirement governance and health checks later.
Good fit for: Teams with strong automation engineers and mostly custom-built applications.
How the options compare on 2026 capabilities
Agentic features changed quickly this year, so feature lists from 2025 may already be out of date. This table compares RabbitQA with UiPath Test Cloud and three of the options above, based on our review of each vendor’s public documentation in October 2026. “Partial” means the capability exists but is limited, needs a separate product, or depends on plan, deployment or configuration. “Not documented” means we could not find it in the vendor’s public documentation.
| Capability | RabbitQA | UiPath | Tricentis | ACCELQ | Katalon |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Requirements governance (quality scoring and a named-approver workflow) | Yes | Partial | Partial | Not documented | Partial |
| Runs existing open source frameworks as they are | Yes | Partial | Partial | Not documented | Partial |
| Bring your own model | Yes | Partial | Partial | Not documented | Partial |
| One scenario across web, mobile and API, including tablet and Apple Watch, in one run | Yes | Partial | Partial | Partial | Partial |
| Built-in scheduled health checks | Yes | Not documented | Not documented | Not documented | Partial |
| AI features in an on-premises deployment | Yes | Partial | Partial | Not documented | Partial |
| Prebuilt packaged-application coverage (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce) | Developing | Yes | Yes | Yes | Partial |
| Published pricing | No | Partial | No | No | Yes |
Notes: UiPath’s documented requirement check generates a list of suggestions rather than a score, and its sign-off workflow covers test cases and test case logs; its feature availability page lists MCP servers and Playwright support for public Test Cloud only and own-model support for Autopilot for Testers in Test Cloud and Test Cloud Dedicated, and self-hosted Private Test Cloud supports only bring-your-own-subscription for Autopilot. Tricentis risk-weights requirements in Tosca Cloud and runs requirement sign-off through Tricentis Vera, licensed separately; it runs open source suites through qTest Launch, its own-model route is MCP and open APIs, and on-premises Tosca’s documented AI setup needs access to Tosca Cloud. Katalon’s Requirement Analyzer returns a gap analysis, its production insights come from TrueTest, its packaged-application guides include Salesforce, which it does not officially support, and Oracle Cloud applications, and on-premises deployment and, in Studio, bringing your own AI provider are Enterprise-only. ACCELQ’s MCP server is part of Autopilot, so it depends on the ACCELQ plan.
Two things stand out. The key gaps between RabbitQA and the others sit at both ends of the lifecycle: requirements governance before development, and health checks inside the same platform after release. And on agent ecosystems, UiPath and Tricentis both let you build custom agents and agent flows. RabbitQA integrates your own LLMs and AI agents into governed quality workflows, offers the same licensing models in cloud and on-premises deployments and lets you run a model you host on premises, while UiPath’s feature availability page marks several of its newest agentic features, MCP servers and Autonomous Exploration among them, as available in public Test Cloud but not in Test Cloud Dedicated or Public Sector.
Which UiPath Test Cloud alternative fits your situation?
| If your main reason for leaving is… | Look at |
|---|---|
| You need SAP, Oracle or Salesforce depth without the UiPath platform | Tricentis, ACCELQ |
| Cost, published prices, mostly web, mobile and API | Katalon, open source |
| Natural-language test authoring with your own AI keys | Testsigma |
| One scenario across web, mobile and API, including tablet and Apple Watch, in one run | RabbitQA |
| Existing code-based suites on a large real-device cloud | BrowserStack |
| You need AI with your own model in a self-hosted or on-premises deployment | RabbitQA |
| Consumption units and usage pools you cannot forecast | RabbitQA, Katalon |
| Defects that start in requirements, production surprises, and no single view of quality | RabbitQA |
Many enterprises end up with two: a packaged-app specialist for the ERP estate and a governance layer across custom web, mobile and API products.
Moving off UiPath Test Cloud: what to expect
Plan the move by application, not as one cutover. Test Manager can export requirements and test cases, but automations built in UiPath Studio, coded automations included, and ScreenPlay generally need to be rebuilt. Start with the applications where Test Cloud costs you most and gives you least, usually custom web and API products, and leave SAP suites in place until you have a replacement for them. If you choose RabbitQA, you can bring existing open source automation and Postman collections in directly, start with requirement governance in the first phase, and expand to execution and health checks after that.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best alternative to UiPath Test Cloud?
There is no single best alternative, because teams leave UiPath Test Cloud for different reasons. Tricentis and ACCELQ are the closest replacements for packaged-application testing. Katalon publishes its prices and offers a free plan. RabbitQA fits teams that want to govern quality from requirement to production, with your own model on premises if you need it, rather than only automate tests.
Which alternative is best for SAP testing if I leave UiPath?
Tricentis, through Tosca’s model-based engines, and ACCELQ, through its packaged-application coverage, both offer dedicated SAP testing and belong on the shortlist if SAP is your main testing estate. RabbitQA’s packaged-application coverage is still developing, so many teams keep a specialist tool for SAP and use RabbitQA for custom web, mobile and API products.
Which UiPath Test Cloud alternatives let me use my own AI model on premises?
RabbitQA supports OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Gemini and Anthropic, or local models running entirely on premises. Katalon can reach a private Azure OpenAI or OpenAI-compatible endpoint through Katalon Tunnel on its Enterprise plan. UiPath supports bring-your-own-model for Autopilot for Testers in Test Cloud and Test Cloud Dedicated, but in self-hosted Private Test Cloud, Autopilot for testers supports only bring-your-own-subscription, and UiPath’s on-premises LLM table marks Test Manager Autopilot as not supported with self-hosted open-source models, although Automation Suite itself is documented for air-gapped deployment. ACCELQ’s Autopilot security page does not describe an option to bring your own model.
Can I keep my existing test automation if I leave UiPath Test Cloud?
Automations built in UiPath Studio generally need to be rebuilt in a new tool. Automation written in open source frameworks is different: RabbitQA runs existing Cucumber, Gauge, Robot Framework, JUnit, TestNG and xUnit repositories and Postman collections as they are, and adds governance on top.
